DIY Fabric Speakers

Davide GombaFebruary 27th, 2011

Interesting DIY fabric speakers from Hannah Perner-Wilson:

Making a speaker is much easier than you’ve ever imagined, and what you need to prepare is merely: textile (or paper), conductive tape and some strong magnets. Try this one made by Hannah Perner-Wilson and you’ll find it quite impressive.

UPDATE: as Tara commented below, you can have more information about Hannah’s work on her website Kobakant.at

That is extremely interesting. I wonder if Hannah shares/blogs any details regarding her materials or processes? I would like to know, for instance how she has adapted her music source to output from, presumably, a 3.5mm jack to those alligator clips, has she cobbled that together herself or is there somewhere to find those premade?

    Excellent video though!
