Digital Services Act
Compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA)
The European Union Digital Services Act (DSA) is a regulatory framework aimed at ensuring a safer and more transparent online environment across the EU. The DSA sets out clear responsibilities and accountability measures for online platforms and services, particularly focusing on moderating illegal content, enhancing user protection, and ensuring transparency in content moderation practices. The DSA applies to digital services that act as intermediaries, connecting consumers with goods, services, and content, and introduces measures to ensure online platforms are safe and fair for users.
For more detailed information about the DSA, you can refer to the official EU documentation here.
Arduino Online Communities
At Arduino, we are committed to adhering to the guidelines of the DSA in all of our online communities. Specifically, these guidelines apply to our two main platforms:
- Arduino Forum – A vibrant community where users discuss Arduino products, projects, and programming - available at forum.arduino.cc
- Arduino Project Hub – A platform where users can share their Arduino-based projects and collaborate with others in the community - available at projecthub.arduino.cc
Both of these platforms are essential hubs for interaction and knowledge sharing, and we strive to maintain a safe and constructive environment for all users.
Information about number of users in those communities: peak Monthly User Visits over the last 12 months (updated October 2024)
- Arduino Forum: 65’000
- Arduino ProjectHub: 200’000
Reporting mechanisms
In compliance with the DSA, we have put mechanisms in place on both the Arduino Forum and Arduino Project Hub to enable users to report any content that may violate the law or our community guidelines, such as:
- Illegal content (e.g., hate speech, incitement to violence)
- Infringements of intellectual property
- Harassment or abusive behavior
On each platform, users can easily report content directly to our moderation team by following this procedure:
- On Arduino Forum, you can report violations in two different ways (learn more here)
- When logged in as Arduino user, you have a “flag” button next to each post or comment
- If not logged in, you can use this page
- On Arduino ProjectHub, you can report violations in two different ways (learn more here)
- When logged in as Arduino user, you have a “flag” button next to each post or comment
- If not logged in, you can use the “Report Content” button in bottom right corner
Our moderation team reviews reports promptly and takes appropriate action in accordance with both our policies and the DSA's requirements.
We encourage all community members to help us maintain a healthy and compliant space by reporting any violations they encounter.
