Arduino Certification & Cloud in Brazil

Educators and students all over the world are learning STEAM subjects using Arduino Education kits. But until now, classrooms in Brazil haven’t had access to Arduino Certification or the Arduino Cloud.

But that’s all just changed.

Now, we’re delighted that educators and students across Brazil have access to Arduino Education’s official certification and Cloud services.

What is Arduino Certification?

Aimed at educators who use (or want to use) Arduino kits in their middle school or high school classrooms, Arduino Certification is an online exam that tests your knowledge of electronics and programming. Students can take the exam, too!

Why take the exam?

  • Demonstrate your knowledge of electronics, programming, and coding
  • Boost your confidence in electronics, coding, and physical computing
  • Become part of a wider professional network

Even better, you don’t need any prior coding or electronics experience - and it’s really easy to get started.

What does Arduino Certification cover?

Arduino Certification covers the basic concepts of electronics, coding, and programming, including:

  • Key electricity concepts
  • How electronics are represented visually
  • The functionality of the Arduino development environment (called Arduino IDE)
  • What an Arduino board is and how it works
  • How various electronic components work and how to use them in a circuit
  • The building blocks of the Arduino programming language
  • How to program electronic components
  • Reading, analyzing, and troubleshooting Arduino code

Take a look at the exam demo to find out more.

How to take the Arduino Certification exam

There are two ways to earn the official Arduino Certification.

You can either purchase the exam on its own (you will have one attempt to pass it). Or, you can purchase the exam along with the Arduino Starter Kit as the Certification bundle.

What is the Arduino Cloud?

Along with Arduino certification, educators and students in Brazil can now access the Arduino Cloud.

Arduino Cloud prepares your students for a connected future by enabling them to connect devices, visualize data, and control projects from wherever they are - it’s the easiest way to get started with the IoT.

The Cloud plan for schools

There are several versions of the Arduino Cloud plan. One is a free version for individual use, there’s a paid version designed for makers, and the subscription-based School Plan, which is specifically designed for education and use in the classroom.

The School Plan offers more features, extra functionality, and provides better learning outcomes for students. Some of the benefits of using the Arduino Cloud in your school are:

  • It facilitates teamwork, as students can share dashboards and collaborate on projects
  • Educators can collect project reports, including photos and videos
  • Students can easily showcase their work and submit directly into Google Classroom

The School Plan gives you access to an enhanced classroom environment in the cloud where students and teachers can benefit from additional resources, digital courses and lessons, and shared spaces to work with shared projects.

When you subscribe to the School Plan, your class will receive advanced features such as unlimited storage or compilation time and an increased amount of Things for each student.
