Students, makers, and fans of Arduino from all over the world have been taking Arduino Certification for years, in order to certify their skills for college, in the workplace - and just for fun!
Now, we’re delighted to announce the launch of Junior Certification. This certification is aimed at students aged 14+ who are new to using Arduino products. Its aim is to assess & spot areas for improvement in students’ knowledge of programming & electronics.
Junior Certification explained
Junior Certification makes it easy for educators to assess your students’ individual aptitude, skills, and what they’ve learned about programming, electronics, robotics, and Arduino concepts.
Whether they’ve been working with Arduino components individually or in groups, Junior Certification gives you a clear insight into each student’s own level, and enables you to spot knowledge gaps and areas for improvement.
It also helps students with self-evaluation, giving them an understanding of the areas they need to work on or have a particular aptitude for.
Why assess your students with Junior Certification
Coding and programming are two of the most difficult areas in which to assess your students’ skills - especially if you have students working in groups.
Assessing them using Junior Certification means you get an exact overview of each individual student, and can see what they understand and which areas they may need to work on. This is also true of your whole class - you may find that there’s an area for improvement across the board, as well as areas they excel at.
Junior Certification also provides you with:
- Boost students’ confidence in STEM subjects with self-evaluation
- Take the exam online anywhere, at any time
- A springboard to more challenging learning with Arduino
- An affordable way to certify students’ skills
What’s included with Junior Certification?
Junior Certification is an online multiple-choice exam that can be completed from any computer with access to the internet. It consists of 25 questions with a 60-minute time limit.
Students receive their results immediately after submission, indicating whether they passed or failed. Passing the exam will grant students the Arduino Junior Certification certificate.
There are two ways to gain Junior Certification:
- The Junior Certification Bundle: Includes the Arduino Student Kit, access to the online exam and one attempt to pass the exam.
- Online access to the exam only: This option includes access to the online exam with one attempt to pass the exam.
Junior Certification is available now. Visit our store to purchase your certification or the certification bundle, or find an educational distributor in your area.
When students get Junior Certification, it demonstrates their aptitude, skills, and experience, not only with using Arduino components, but with programming and the subject matters they have learned. It also helps students with self-evaluation, giving them an understanding of the areas they need to work on or have a particular aptitude for.
The exam is available in English.
